🍸 Is Drinking Still “In”?
Lately, I’ve been wondering — is drinking kind of… out?
I’m someone who genuinely enjoys a good cocktail moment — a dirty martini, a French 75, a crisp glass of champagne, or a nice red over dinner. But I’ve noticed that I drink way less than I used to. Two martinis max, maybe a couple glasses of wine — and that’s it. Because the truth is, the next day, I just don’t feel like myself. I can’t focus, my energy is off, and it’s just not worth it anymore.
I think more and more people are feeling this way — not necessarily “sober,” but more intentional. We still love the ritual: the glass, the toast, the conversation. But we’re craving clarity, rest, and feeling good over just keeping up with a social habit.
It’s funny — alcohol can make you act differently too. Sometimes you wake up the next morning thinking, Did I really say that? or Why did I stay that late? And I think we’re all collectively done with that version of ourselves.
So maybe the new “cool” is balance — still savoring the moments, just without the fog the next day.

✨ Gal Off Duty Tips & Swaps
Here are a few of my favorite ways to keep the ritual, without the hangover:
🥂 Elevate the glass, not the drink.
A beautiful coupe or martini glass makes everything feel special — even if it’s sparkling water with lime or kombucha. (These glass sets are my go-to.)
🍋 Mocktails that actually taste good.
I love using a splash of Seedlip, Kin Euphorics, or a good ginger soda with fresh citrus. Add mint or cucumber and it feels like a spa day in a glass.
💧 Hydrate before and after.
Always one glass of water per drink — non-negotiable. I also swear by electrolyte packets before bed if I’ve had wine.
🌿 Supplements that help your body recover.
Magnesium and milk thistle help support the liver.
🕯️ Romanticize the moment.
Light a candle, play your favorite playlist, and make your drink — whether it has alcohol or not — feel like a treat. It’s the ritual that matters, not what’s in the glass.

Question for you:
Are you drinking less these days too? Or just being more mindful about when and how? 🍸
