The Power of Saying Hello
Restaurante Marzano in Medellin, Colombia.
I don’t believe in coincidences.
I believe in being open.
Dinner in Medellín. An Italian restaurant. A woman walks past my table with her dog—effortless, elegant, the kind of presence that makes you look twice. I almost didn’t say hello. Almost.
Truth is, I was missing my dogs and just wanted to pet a dog 😆
But I also couldn’t stop thinking about how beautifully she was dressed. There was something so thoughtful about her look—timeless, feminine, and quietly powerful.
So I said hi. I gave a compliment. We started talking.
One conversation turned into a real connection. What she was wearing? Part of her daughter’s ready-to-wear collection—a designer from Barranquilla with a line that feels intentional, feminine, and so right. Inspiration found me right at the table next to mine.
Moments like these are a reminder: when you travel, creativity opens up. You see differently. You feel differently. And if you’re open, magic has room to happen.
A small reminder on how to approach a stranger—gently, kindly, without fear:
• Lead with a genuine compliment — style, energy, presence
• Keep it simple — a smile and “hi” is more than enough
• Be curious, not intrusive — let the conversation flow naturally
• Trust your instinct — if it feels right, it usually is
• Remember: connection starts with openness, not perfection
A simple hello. A small instinct followed.
And now, a truly special new brand is coming to our stores.
Stay tuned — I can’t wait to share what’s next ✨
