🎄 The Joy of Decorating Early

Larry’s first Christmas 🥹

There’s something about the first twinkle of Christmas lights that instantly lifts my mood — even if it’s only mid-November. Some people wait until after Thanksgiving, but I’m that girl who decorates early, and honestly… it makes me so happy. ✨

It’s not just about the décor — it’s the feeling. The scent of pine, the soft glow of lights, the nostalgia of past holidays — all of it makes me feel calm, centered, and joyful. It’s like giving my home (and my heart) a little head start on happiness.

This year, I’ve been collecting ornaments throughout the seasons — each one with a special meaning or memory. From a tiny ceramic house I found on a trip to Spain to a seashell ornament that reminds me of home in Puerto Rico — every piece tells a story. Hanging them on the tree feels like revisiting all those beautiful moments.

And yes, I’m team real tree 🎄 — even if it’s a bit more work. There’s nothing like the smell, the tradition, and that little ritual of finding the perfect one.

✨ My Tips for Creating Holiday Magic Early:

• Start small. Light a pine candle, hang a wreath, or put on your favorite Christmas playlist — it’s all about the feeling.

• Collect with intention. I’ve loved picking up ornaments from places like Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, and even Amazon (they have surprisingly chic ones!) throughout the year. Each one has a little story behind it.

• Don’t rush the joy. The holidays can fly by — stretching the season a bit longer lets you actually soak it in.

Because really… happiness isn’t about the date on the calendar — it’s about creating the moments that make you smile. ❤️
