Packing for Madrid (But Let’s Be Honest… I’ll Probably Shop)
Tomorrow I’m leaving for Madrid and, like always, packing the night before. I try to be strategic about what I bring because I know how I am when I travel… I leave space in my suitcase.
I’m packing a few basics that I know I’ll actually wear:
Flare / Bootcut Jeans
Flare or bootcut jeans are my go-to for travel — they’re flattering, effortless, and pair perfectly with boots and a blazer for an easy day-to-night look.
Tank Tops
Simple tank tops are the ultimate layering piece — perfect under a blazer during the day or worn on their own when the evening warms up.
Cowboy Boots
My cowboy boots add just the right amount of personality and work from walking around the city to a late dinner in Madrid.
The goal is to have pieces that can mix and match so I’m not overpacking.
But if we’re being honest… I’m also packing with the full intention of doing some shopping in Madrid.
Half the fun of traveling is discovering new pieces you wouldn’t necessarily find at home. Whether it’s a great pair of shoes, a statement jacket, or just something that feels very Madrid, I love bringing back pieces that remind me of the trip every time I wear them.
So my suitcase is starting with the essentials — and leaving room for whatever I find along the way.
I’ll be sharing what I packed, what I actually wore, and of course… what I ended up buying.
Because let’s be real, that’s usually the best part.
