Packing for NYC & Austin in One Trip: My Summer Style Edit

Two cities, two totally different vibes—but one suitcase? Challenge accepted. I just wrapped a whirlwind trip from the skyscrapers of NYC to the honky-tonks of Austin, and here’s how I packed smart without sacrificing style.

NYC: Urban Polish with an Edge

Think rooftop cocktails, street strolls, and that downtown cool factor.

•  Look 1: Never Fully Dressed Studded Barrel Jeans + white button down blouse + blazer + sneakers = comfy but elevated.

•  Look 2: Black Seashell Mesh Cami Dress layered with a black blazer + western boots—yes, even NYC loves a cowboy moment.

 Austin: Heatwave Meets Honky-Tonk

Hot days, live music, and all the southern charm.

•  Look 1: Leopard swimsuit turned bodysuit + embroidered wide-leg pants + a cowboy hat = pool-to-patio perfection.

•  Look 2: Flowy leopard mini dress + statement boots—wild, but make it chic.

 My Packing Strategy:

• Mix neutrals and statement prints for re-wearability.

• Bring 1–2 killer shoes that work in both cities (hi, boots).

• Roll your clothes. Always.

• And don’t sleep on bringing a steamer.

Bonus Tip: Always pack one “I feel hot in this” outfit. Mine was the leopard mini. It turned heads and danced all night.
