Hard Work Always Finds Its Moment

This past weekend was one of those moments that reminds you why you work so hard.

Sometimes when you’re in the middle of the process — the early mornings, the training, the preparation, the long days — it’s easy to forget that all of that effort eventually leads somewhere. But every once in a while, everything comes together at the same time, and it makes the journey feel incredibly rewarding.

This weekend was one of those moments for me.

On one side, Vuela Paloma returned to the track and won beautifully, reminding us once again of the power, heart, and determination these incredible animals have. Watching her run is always emotional — there’s something about seeing a horse give everything on the track that never gets old.

And almost at the same time, Fred reached a huge milestone in his career.

In just a few shows — and at different stages of his development from puppy to adulthood — Fred completed his AKC Championship, something that takes dedication, consistency, and a lot of teamwork behind the scenes.

Dog shows might look simple from the outside, but anyone involved knows the amount of work that goes into it: conditioning, grooming, training, traveling, and trusting the process even when things don’t go your way.

What makes this moment even more special is that Fred was never originally meant to be my show dog. When he was born, the idea of him becoming a show prospect wasn’t even really part of the plan.

But sometimes things happen exactly the way they’re meant to.

From the moment I saw that little apricot boy, he completely stole my heart — and now here we are celebrating such an important milestone.

Moments like these remind me of something I truly believe:

Hard work always finds its moment.

It may take time.

It may require patience.

But when you stay committed, the results eventually show up.

This weekend was a reminder that the effort, the discipline, and the passion are always worth it.

And the best part?

This is only the beginning.
