My Favorite Day Spot in Casa de Campo: Minitas Beach Club

If you’re visiting Casa de Campo and looking for the perfect place to spend the day, Minitas Beach Club is always at the top of my list. It’s one of those places that never gets old — beach, pool, great food, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re on vacation even if you’re only there for the afternoon.

One of the reasons I love it so much is how easy it is to get there. From Puerto Rico it’s only about a 35-minute flight, which makes it the perfect quick escape.

My biggest tip: arrive around 11 AM. That’s usually the sweet spot to secure good beach chairs before the crowd rolls in. If you’re going with a big group, definitely reserve a cabana — it makes the whole experience even better and gives everyone a place to gather.

The vibe is also adults only, which honestly makes it even more enjoyable. It’s relaxed, fun, and you always end up meeting interesting people from all over the world.

When it comes to food, I never skip their Dominican fried chicken. It’s one of those dishes you don’t expect to be so good at a beach club, but trust me — it’s incredible.

Drink-wise, it depends on the mood. Some days it’s a skinny margarita, other days it’s a glass of rosé by the beach. Either way, it pairs perfectly with a sunny afternoon by the water.

What I also love is that you can move between the beach and the pool throughout the day, so you get the best of both worlds.

Minitas is one of those places where the hours fly by. Good food, great music, beautiful views, and always interesting people around.

It’s easily one of my favorite day spots in Casa de Campo.
